Cardiff City Centre from Pontcanna Fields

For this shoot we were asked to take some aerial photographs of Cardiff City centre for Cardiff University. They wanted a photograph showing everything from the University Hospital Wales to the Royal Infirmary on Newport Road.

Obviously the rules governing aerial photography mean that we can’t fly directly over the town centre so this was a bit of a challenge. We decided to fly from Pontcanna Fields as soon as the sun came up one morning. This made sure we had enough room to take off and land the drone and it also meant that the passers by would be kept to a minimum.

Here are the resulting photographs. They are going to be used on the new edition of the University newsletter.
