This week we have mostly been filming Cow Robots. Yes you ready that correctly, although you probably have conjured up a different image than you were supposed to.
A company called DeLaval asked us to create some promotional films for them that would showcase their VMS system, basically robots that milk cows.
We spent the whole week travelling up and down the country visiting farmers that have installed the system as well as visiting farms that use DeLaval’s parlour milking system.
This is the resulting film. It’s what we call an ‘Interview’ based film where the main narrative of the film is taken from the dialog we captured talking to real customers of DeLaval. We used these interviews and a combination of ground and aerial filming to create a promotional film that would be displayed on DeLaval’s stand in an exhibition at the NEC.
